About SOiL

At the heart of SOiL is our certified organic farm in Zululand, South Africa. Here we cultivate essential oil crops such as tea tree, lemongrass, eucalyptus and niaouli using organic, chemical-free farming methods. Our fields are maintained through labour-intensive, sustainable practices like hand weeding and careful land management. Once harvested, crops are processed promptly to preserve their freshness and potency.

Our on-site distillery allows us to maintain complete control over the purity and quality of our products. Each day, freshly harvested plants are chipped, loaded, and steam-distilled to release their aromatic oils. We use waste wood from nearby properties to fuel our boilers, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. After distillation, the water and oil are separated, while leftover plant material is returned to the land as mulch – closing the loop with natural regeneration.

SOiL is much more than a farm – we’re a vertically integrated production facility where sustainability guides every decision. From cultivation to manufacturing, our eco-ethical model ensures that each step is made in harmony with nature and guided by transparency, integrity, and respect for people and planet. Our responsible use of natural resources helps to support the communities involved in our supply chain.

Every product is produced under strict quality control standards to ensure purity, safety and consistency. Carefully packaged to protect the integrity of each oil, our products travel from our South African farm to wellness retailers and customers around the world.

We actively reduce our environmental footprint by using renewable resources. Water is sourced from our own borehole and rainwater catchment systems, while an off-grid solar inverter system powers our operations – ensuring a clean, self-sufficient energy supply.
